"Back in the Saddle Again"

After a short hiatus, we're back on the road. Today we woke up very bright and early (we left the house at 4:45 a.m.!) and flew to Houston where former President George Herbert Walker Bush (41) endorsed Dad for President. It was a very cool event with former First Lady Barbara Bush, wearing her signature pearls, also in attendance. From there we flew to snowy Wisconsin, where it is blizzarding and freezing, for a finance meeting and a media gaggle.
As we approach the blog's six month anniversary, there have been a few changes. I've given up heels for Chuck Taylors (I just can't wear heels on the road anymore unless it's a special occasion or I'm feeling daring), and the food is slowly, but surely, getting a little better. Instead of a turkey sandwich for lunch today, I had a chicken plate. Hey, it's the little things in life that keep you going...especially when you're on the road.
Tomorrow it's election day in Wisconsin and then we head to Ohio!
