"MO-MEN-TUM"
POSTED BY Meghan ON 12.31.07 9:45 AM

This feeling is indescribable. I woke up this morning to yet ANOTHER New Hampshire publication, The Nashua Telegraph, endorsing Dad. We spent the day going to packed (again, over 500+ people) townhalls and equally full meet-and-greets. This momentum is real and I can feel it in the air. Trust me, I have been around a lot of campaigns and know when things are heating up. This is the stuff political history is made of. I wish everyone could share this with me; but since that isn't possible, we'll have to settle for the pics and videos on the blog. Thank you to everyone who is making this happen and to everyone who never stopped believing in my dad.

Buckle up, January 8th is going to be like nothing you've ever seen.

Happy 2008!

"Packed Townhalls and a Pet Goat"
POSTED BY HEATHER ON 12.29.07 10:00 PM

Today was unbelievable! People were packed like sardines at all four town halls. It is so amazing to see the enormous crowds gathering to show their support for McCain. Banners, cheers and passion filled each room. You could literally feel the excitement in the air. I think that people are just so happy to have someone like John who shares their beliefs and concerns about the direction of this country and how it should be lead. John's extensive experience proves that he is the best man for the job. And this confidence fuels a contagious excitement in voters. People were lined up everywhere -- down hallways, along driveways, and outside of doorways just to catch a glimpse of him. One person even brought their pet goat out to meet him. Now that's passion.

"Mornin' Noon and Night..."
POSTED BY MEGHAN ON 12.27.07 11:22 AM

Here is the second video in the series that we're doing about campaign life (produced by the amazingly talented Shannon Bae). It's titled 'Mornin' Noon and Night...' and gives a little perspective about the daily grind while on the trail. Also, look closely for this rat/possum thing we saw crossing the road as we drove by in Nashua and debated over whether it was the largest rat we have ever seen or a small possum.

I hope you enjoy!

"Kissinger and Christmas Trees"
POSTED BY MEGHAN ON 12.20.07 9:10 AM

Yesterday was spent in Boston and New Hampshire. The day began with an event featuring Dr. Kissinger and Jim Woolsey, the former director of the CIA, and their analysis of United States' foreign policy relations. It was a fascinating discussion.

After the event, the girls and I went to New Hampshire with Dad where he selected a Christmas tree at a local nursery for his campaign headquarters. There were so many people waiting outside for Dad while it was snowing! I have to admit that, until today, I haven't had much holiday spirit. However, picking out a Christmas tree in the snow kicked it into high gear for me and I got ready to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" this morning. (Also, the lavender streaks finally came out of my hair after 3 washes.)

"Random Half-Day Off"
POSTED BY MEGHAN ON 12.19.07 1:07 AM

Today started off with an economic event in Salem, NH where Dad discussed a variety of issues mostly relating to the U.S. economy. During the event, Heather leaned over to me and whispered, "Your hair looks kind of purple." As soon as the event was over, I went to the bathroom to check it out and, yes, my hair was slightly lavender (we later figured out that it was from a new hair conditioner I tried this morning). I decided it looked a little rock 'n roll and wasn't that far off from the pink streaks I had in my hair many, many years ago.

Shortly after the event, Dad found out that he had to go back to DC to vote on the Iraq-Afghanistan funding bill and as a result, the rest of the day's campaign events were cancelled. So, the girls and I spent the day in lovely Boston eating seafood and playing in the snow. I have to admit I felt a little guilty, like I was playing hookey from school.

Tomorrow should be an amazing day, with a major event in Boston featuring Dad, Dr. Kissinger, and Jim Woolsey, the former director of the CIA.
