"Blogette Playlist Volume 8"
POSTED BY MEGHAN

Yes, the playlists continue! Starting out with one of my favorite bands, The Fratellis, singing one of my most favorite songs, "Chelsea Dagger". The Beta Band's "Brokenupadingdong" is a song I have recently been playing on long bus rides between events. Starlight Mint's "Inside of Me" is a song suggested by a friend of mine and I have had it as the first song on my wake-up playlist for the past week and a half. We wrap things up with Rise Against's "Swing Life Away". The lead singer's voice reminds me of Dashboard Confessional. I want to dedicate this song to a close friend of mine in whose wedding I'm going to be maid of honor next month. I love you guys so much. This song reminds me of how beautiful you are together. Congrats!

"Road Warrior"

We're hitting the pavement hard, out here on the campaign trail. We're out the door at 8 a.m. in Dallas and not getting into the hotel until 10 p.m. in Austin. Two townhalls, a few finance events, enough Diet Coke and Swedish fish to do permanent damage to my body and what feels like a trillion media gaggles later, I'm finally sitting in the hotel room with a Bud Light typing my post. This is the most out of control time I've ever had, and so much more fun than anyone lets on.

Song of the Day:
"All Along the Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix

(I'm listening to Jimi's version today ≠- thank you, Bob Dylan.)

"Everything's Bigger in Texas"

Today was filled with Texas-sized town halls in Tyler and San Antonio. They were packed, packed, packed to the rim with people! It was standing room only as people lined up along the railings three floors above the lobby to listen to Dad. As we drove along the highway, we passed a giant sculpture of cowboy boots, just in case we didn't get the memo that we were still in the Lone Star State. Also, we have a new pimped-out Straight Talk Express complete with a full kitchen, flat screen TV, and a shower (which I hope I never have to use).

Our Texas tour continues tomorrow...
