WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2008 AT 5:23 PM
Monday was one of the most unusual days I have experienced on the campaign trail to date. The looming hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico turned months of planning for the GOP Convention upside down and last minute changes were being made due to the storm. We were all very concerned for the entire region. I love New Orleans and I can't even imagine how difficult it must have been for those residents to once again be displaced by the evacuations. What made this day bearable for me was having my entire family together - something that rarely happens with everyone's busy lives. I was so thrilled to have my sister, brothers and extended family in one place! Be sure to look for Nana in the pics. Her strength and confidence is a gift to our entire family.
