WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2008 AT 1:30 PM
We spent another day in Colorado, where the unique persona of the West is really front and center. From the bales of hay to the cowboy hats, you know exactly what part of the country you're in. Everyone has been so friendly and supportive at these events, and I know how much this energy means to Dad. We're going to have a report soon on our travels through Nevada with Linda Ramone, so stay tuned! And a special word of thanks for the overwhelming positive responses to yesterday's post.
Song of the Day: "These Days" by Nico
Dad and Lindsey chat with friends backstage.
Lindsey clowns around with Shannon.
Almost show time.
Off we go.
Down the ramp.
The crowd was excited.
You can tell we're in the West by the hay on stage.
A hug from Dad. (Check out legendary former Denver Bronco quarterback John Elway, too!)
Dad gets the crowd moving.
The place was filled to capacity.
Happy supporter.
The ever-present "Joe the Plumber" signs were out.
Charlie Black's wife, Judy, came to the event, too!
Cool pic.
Love the patriotic decorations.
More fans of "Joe."
Hooray!
We haven't seen one of these signs before.
Lovin' Joe.
American western head gear.
Even more "Joe!"
Dad loves the crowds.
Great sign and supporter.
Backstage post-event.
Photo op.
On the tarmac ready to move out.
The caravan is ready.
So are the press vans.
Chilling out while we wait for the plane.
